Who am I?
My name is Rebecca Dingwell: writer, editor and professional sadsack. In 2016, my father died of ALS, and so my fascination with death and the dying process began. I’ve become hypercritical of the way we deal (or don’t deal) with death in the so-called western world and I am constantly frustrated by how capitalism revictimizes the bereaved.
The idea
I don’t believe people should have to pay hundreds of dollars to notify their community of a loved one’s death. My goal is to bring your beloved’s obituary to an easily shareable online platform at low or no cost to you.
